The coordinated optimization mode of “source network load storage” is the essential mode of operation of the energy internet (De Gouvello Christophe et al. 2021).
In the literature , the source-network-load-storage coordinated control research is carried out on the AC/DC hybrid microgrid in three modes that can be flexibly switched from the perspective of second-level control, thereby achieving accurate control of AC and DC power and meeting differentiated power quality requirements in different regions.
This study describes a novel energy utilization sys-tem that makes use of renewable energy as the major energy source, employs internet technology to achieve real-time energy and information flow, and is highly coupled with var-ious energy supplies, transmission networks, energy technol-ogy, and information technology (Rifkin J 2011).
When conducting collaborative optimization for source, load and storage in a microgrid, most of the existing literatures regard source, load, and storage as adjustable resources in the microgrid system from the perspective of the microgrid system so as to improve the safe, stable, efficient and economical operation level of the microgrid system.
Based on this background, the energy internet has emerged at a historic moment, presenting a new mode of energy utilization (Wang Weilong et al. 2022). In his book The Third Industrial Revolution, American researcher Jer-emy Rifkin initially created the notion of the energy internet in 2011.
